Inauguration of 'Museum of Word' – India's First Immersive Language Museum, Kolkata 19 July, 2026

The 'Museum of Word' , India's first immersive language museum, was inaugurated on 19th July, 2026, at Belvedere House, National Library, Kolkata, by Shri Amit Shah, Hon'ble Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Government of India, in the august presence of Shri Suvendu Adhikari, Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, and other distinguished dignitaries.

The museum celebrates India's extraordinary linguistic heritage through immersive and interactive experiences that bring the stories of our languages to life. It showcases the rich diversity, evolution, and cultural significance of Indian languages, from ancient scripts to contemporary linguistic expressions, offering visitors a unique journey into the country's vibrant oral and written traditions.
