Manaskhand Science Centre, Almora, the second Science Centre of Uttarakhand, was developed by National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, under the Scheme for Promotion of Culture of Science (SPoCS). The centre was inaugurated virtually by the Hon'ble CM of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on March 10, 2024, in the august presence of Shri Manoj Tiwari, Hon’ble MLA, and Dr. Durgesh Pant, Director General, Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (UCOST). The centre features thematic galleries on ‘Climate Change’ and ‘Traditional Medicine’ with interactive exhibits, along with a Science Park, Innovation Hub, Portable Planetarium, and Fun Science Gallery, offering an engaging platform for science education and innovation.
