Inauguration of Digital World Gallery at National Science Centre, Delhi

The ‘Digital World’ Gallery was inaugurated at National Science Centre, Delhi, a unit of National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, by Prof. Venugopal Achanta, Director, CSIR-NPL, on January 9, 2025. The gallery showcases India’s digital journey through immersive and interactive exhibits, discovering the evolution of mobile networks, the undersea internet backbone in Submarine Cables, and the Nine Pillars of Digital India initiative. Advanced technologies like Augmented and Virtual Reality enhance exhibits such as Virtual Zoo, Peep Inside Yourself, and Hot Air Balloon, offering engaging experiences. Covering key sectors like AI, digital commerce, and entertainment, the gallery highlights innovations like Aadhaar, UPI, and India’s success in supercomputing. From early computers to future technologies, Digital World offers a glimpse into India’s tech-driven future.
