On the eve of ‘World Ozone Day’, Regional Science Centre, Bhopal organised a Popular Science Lecture on the theme ‘Role of Ozone Layer for the sustenance of Life on Earth'. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Kapur Mal Jain, Former Joint Director, Dept. Of Higher Education, Madhya Pradesh. During the lecture Dr. Jain, elaborated various aspects related to Ozone layer and precautions to be taken individually for the preservation of Ozone layer. The lecture was followed by an interactive question answer session with the students. Around 150 students from different schools & DIET, Bhopal took part.
Also, a felicitation function was organised today at the Centre for the Gold Medallist, Shri Anand Iyer, a Student of Class XI, who brought laurel to Bhopal. Shri Anand participated in the International Olympiad in Astronomy & Astrophysics- 2015 during 26th July to 04th August 2015 held at Magelang, Indonesia.
