Birla Industrial & Technological Museum (BITM), Kolkata Observed Children’s Day on November 14 in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.
Renowned magician Shri P. C. Sorcar (Jr.), graced the inaugural session and also launched a new science show with fire titled - ‘Fire-y-Tale. He also interacted with the students after the inaugural program.
The show on Fire-y-tale narrates the story starting from this greatest discovery of humankind to the role played by it in one’s mother’s kitchen. Different laws of physics and chemistry are explained through more than 20 lively experiments. Some of the experiments of the show are Fire under water, Dancing flames, Fire tornado, Fire bubble etc.
Other programmes organized on the day are Painting Competition, Dance Drama on ‘Aboltabol’ by Street Children, Film Show and Sky Observation.

The show on ‘Fire-y-tale’ will be shown on every Sundays at 2:45 pm at BITM demo hall.
