A Gallery on ‘Digital Adventure was inaugurated by Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman, Governing Body, National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) and VC, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi at Birla Industrial and Technological Museum (BITM), Kolkata on May 2, 2019. The gallery was inaugurated as a part of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration of BITM, Kolkata.

This state of the art gallery showcases how the advancement of digital technology has forayed into the entertainment and education segment. The gallery contains around 15 exhibits, and feature about 10 different interactive and multi-media thrills. Here, technologies like motion sensing, augmented reality, virtual reality, mind mapping technique, gesture recognition etc. provides the visiting public with opportunities to engage with various digital installations. The aim is, as the theme suggests, to give an inclusive, adventurous and fun based experience to visitors.

Dr. Saroj Ghose, Former DG, NCSM, Shri I. K. Mukherjee, Former DG, NCSM and Prof. Shibaji Raha, Former Director, Bose Institute, Kolkata and Shri A. D. Choudhury, DG, NCSM were also present on the occasion.
