A new Innovation Hub has been inaugurated at Science Centre, Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair), (A Society under A & N Administration), A & N Islands on 24th October, 2024 by Shri A.S.P.S. Raviprakash, IAS, Secretary, Science & Technology, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, A & N Islands in the august presence of Shri Rajib Nath, Director (Hqrs.), National Council of Science Museums, Dr. Utpal Sharma, Secretary, EC, Science Centre, MoC Representative Shri Vishal Sharma and other dignitaries.
The hub has been developed by the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) under the Scheme for Promotion of Culture of Science (SPoCS) of the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.
The Innovation Hub has different sections like Innovation Resource Centre, Robotics, Electronics, Chemistry & Biotechnology, Idea Lab consisting of Tod Phod Jod (Break & Remake) Corner, Kabad Se Jugad (Build from scrap) & Idea Box, Design Studio & a Lecture Hall to nurture a culture of innovation and creativity amongst the enrolled members of the hub.
