Regional Science Centre, Guwahati celebrated “World Rhino Day” on 22nd September, 2015 in its premises with some educational activities for school children. Celebration of World Rhino Day can be regarded as an awareness to save world famous one horned Rhino as well as all five species around the world. The following programs were conducted at the Centre on this special occasion.
- Painting Competition for children in two different groups
Group A: Classes up to IV Topic- “View of a Rhino”
Group B: Classes V to VII Topic- “View of a Rhino in forest”
- Poster Competition for children
Classes VIII to XII Topic-“Save Rhino to save your identity”
- Popular Science Talk by Dr. Rathin Barman, Deputy Director, Wildlife Trust of India, Kaziranga.
- Open House Science Quiz Competition on Rhino
